The 52 companies let you take a look behind the scenes – in an inviting, exciting, impressive and humorous way. An eventful evening is guaranteed, the perfect setting for the search for your dream job. We want to support you in this search and briefly introduce you to the participating sectors below:

Life sciences is the most important economic sector in the Basel region. Companies in this sector operate at the intersection of medicine, biology, chemistry, technology, and the environment. They develop medicines, research health risks, manufacture prostheses, and much more. Five companies from this sector are taking part in the Industry Night: Bayer, Medartis, Novartis, Roche, and Straumann. This offers you the perfect chance to immerse yourself in the everyday life of laboratory technicians. Life sciences rely on various machines and equipment manufactured by the mechanical engineering, electrical, and metal industries, or MEM for short. You can explore the world of mechanical engineering at Industry Night at SKAN (for instance, looking at isolators for the production of vaccines) and Willy A. Bachofen (including shaker mixers for the pharmaceutical industry). Highly specialized devices and technologies are developed by Endress+Hauser (measuring devices) and Neoperl (fittings). At Industry Night, you can experience Basel as a transport hub at four locations: Basler Verkehrs-Betriebe, Felix Transport and at the logistics companies Contargo and Ultra-Brag at Hafenbecken 2.
