About Contargo

Contargo is one of the leading networks for inland container logistics in Europe. The company integrates container transport between the northern seaports (Rotterdam, Antwerp and Hamburg) and the European inland region (Switzerland, Germany and France). Contargo’s network concept is based on three components:

the Contargo terminals, Contargo’s own inland waterway and rail transport lines and order processing by competent central and decentralised customer service organisations. This concept makes Contargo the preferred partner for shipping companies, freight forwarders and all other players along the intermodal logistics chain in Europe.

Contargo combines the advantages of the three modes of inland waterway transport, road and rail in one integrated transport network. Fixed routes and scheduled departures provide the foundation for fast, reliable and efficient container transport. Seamless, integrated processes and IT systems ensure the smooth handling of containers. Besides transport via inland waterway, rail and truck, Contargo also takes care of document processing. Contargo is represented in Germany, the Netherlands, France and Switzerland.
