About uptownBasel
uptownBasel is an international competence centre for Industry 4.0. The historic Schoren site in Arlesheim near Basel is becoming a development and production location, attracting innovative technology companies and other organisations.
The focus is on industrial production, health care and logistics, as well as the cross-cutting theme of digitalisation. The subsidiary uptownBasel Infinity runs QuantumBasel, the first commercially available quantum computer hub in Switzerland. As a platform for networked companies, uptownBasel promotes the transfer of knowledge across industries and disciplines, thereby promoting the realisation of latent ideas – in the areas of the Internet of Things, robotics, artificial intelligence, future mobility or agile work.
