About uptownBasel
uptownBasel is an international centre of excellence for Industry 4.0 on the historic Schorenareal site in Arlesheim near Basel. A hub for industrial production, healthcare, and logistics is being established with a focus on digitalization. QuantumBasel operates Switzerland’s first commercially viable quantum computer hub, while QAI Ventures invests in start-ups in this field. uptownBasel connects companies and acts as a platform to promote knowledge transfer and the development of innovative ideas in areas such as robotics, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things and the mobility of the future. The project is made possible by the family of Monique and Thomas Staehelin and realized by Fankhauser Arealentwicklungen.
