About the Foundation Weizenkorn

Weizenkorn is a social enterprise in the heart of Basel. Over 40 years ago, a vision emerged: to give people with disabilities acceptance and appreciation through meaningful activities. This is how the Weizenkorn candles were conceived. They quickly became known for their high quality and gained popularity even beyond the borders of Switzerland. The range grew and today more than 300 people work in a supervised workplace or complete an apprenticeship in the various areas of work at Weizenkorn: in the wood factory, bakery, catering, hotel business, caretaking, and sales.
