We asked various personalities from the region which companies they will be visiting on Industry Night. The third tour suggestion comes from Jonathan Bernath, Jobcoach at Erlenhof | Zentrum.

With young people at Industry Night

As in 2022, the course participants and coaches from the Erlenhof vocational orientation course will be at Industry Night this year, and we’re really looking forward to it! Industry Night is a great opportunity for young people aged between 16 and 18 who are looking for the perfect apprenticeship.

Our tour begins in Reinach, where the first highlight awaits: a look behind the scenes at Endress+Hauser. The trainee centre is definitely relevant and exciting for young jobseekers, as are the interactive workshops.

We can continue on the purple E shuttle line towards Arlesheim. The Schorenareal has an especially multifaceted programme this year. Both Siemens and EQUANS offer the chance to get to know their companies and their professional fields, as well as gaining insights into their training opportunities. For a more unusual experience, young people can also have fun building robots at Actemium.

The E shuttle line also takes us to Münchenstein to our next and final official stop. Selmoni lets young people chat to trainees, learning more about their training programmes and experiences there.

Last but not least, we’ll stop by VITO, one of this year’s Industry Night culinary highlights. We can learn about team culture and job possibilities, and experimenting with new pizza varieties is the perfect end to our tour.

Our young people are then free to head back to Basel to investigate other companies. Meanwhile, my team will travel to Dreispitz and enjoy the end of the day at Birtel or Denkstatt.
