Intriguing Insights into the Vibrant Regio Basel Businesses

I love Museum Night and I put the second Industry Night Regio Basel in my planner right away. I’m full of anticipation as I look ahead to my journey through the multifaceted economic region.

My explorations begin at Messeplatz (Basel’s exhibition centre), where I board the pink A shuttle line for IWB with a delicious Ricola sweet in hand. Lange Erlen offers visitors a fascinating look at the complex world of water processing, which is an integral if invisible part of our daily lives.

My route takes me to Stücki Park, where I’ll enter the high-tech world of Medartis. It’s a company driven by a passion for innovation and precision. They make implants which help bones to heal. Speaking with experts and having a chance to explore the anatomy library of the International Bone Research Association Institute is sure to leave a lasting impression.

Naturally I can’t miss a visit to the harbour and the unique atmosphere of the Rhine by night. I’ll experience the extraordinary world of Ultra-Brag, a company that easily handles even major challenges thanks to its handling cranes.

To top it off, I’ll visit KULT bakery, where I can watch the finest baked goods being prepared. That evening, I can even try my hand at baking myself and toast a butter crescent over the campfire – sure to be a delicious and unforgettable experience for sure.

In addition to these exciting insights into various companies, this night also offers valuable inspiration for the first Industry Night Regio Liestal on 20 September 2024. My employer, Bachem, will open its doors to the general public for the first time and let them explore the world of active pharmaceutical ingredient production. We’ve planned an exciting programme of tours, laboratory experiments, and insights into the past and present of the company.
