About Renata
Small, but full of energy: batteries are small wonders – manufactured by Renata, an Itingen-based company. In the late 1970s, Renata specialized in button cells and initially focused on the watch industry. They later expanded into other fields, including medical technology. Renata's micro batteries keep many devices in hospitals running. The team’s expertise covers the entire production process, from the stamped battery housing to the injection-moulded plastic seal, and from the preparation of chemicals through to the final assembly. This high level of vertical integration has earned the company a worldwide reputation as a reliable battery supplier.
