About the Department of Physics at the University of Basel
The Department of Physics at the University of Basel is a centre for cutting-edge international research in the fields of nano- and quantum physics, cosmology, and particle physics. Students benefit from this excellence in research, which offers them an outstanding range of courses taught by highly skilled assistants and renowned professors.
The Basel Quantum Centre (BQC) will also be present at Industrienacht. The BQC drives progress in the fields of quantum computing, sensor technology, measurement technology, communication, and simulation. It integrates and coordinates activities in the field of quantum science and technology in the trinational region of Basel and brings together over 200 researchers from 17 professorships in theoretical and experimental quantum science in the physics and chemistry departments at the University of Basel.
