Review - The Industry Night Regio Liestal fascinated over 4,000 people
The first Industry Night Regio Liestal is history. For one night, 31 companies from various sectors provided impressive insights into their everyday life. There was a wide variety of industries and a spectacular programme. Over 4,000 visitors experienced around 70 programme offerings: impressive tours, fun workshops, and inspiring discussions with employees on site. The varied programme had something exciting in store for everyone, from young to old.
It's midnight, the last garden ideas are sketched, the last car is painted, the last rose vase is welded, the last T-shirt is flocked, the VR glasses are put on for the last time, and the lab coat is taken off. One last look at the transformer, the battery production, the sheet metal production plant – this Industry Night provided exclusive insights into the small and large working worlds of the Liestal region for seven hours. The last visitors leave the companies with many impressions and experiences in their luggage.
Positive conclusion
The initiators and organisers from the Industrienacht Basel association and das mgmt Ltd. have drawn a very positive conclusion. 31 companies in the municipalities of Liestal, Bubendorf, Itingen, and Sissach impressively demonstrated how diverse, lively and innovative the local economy, and industry are. With around 70 programme items, they offered a fascinating look behind the scenes, as well as all kinds of culinary delights and great entertainment. The first Industry Night Regio Liestal was realised without any incidents.
Over 4,000 enthusiastic people on a discovery tour
The varied programme attracted a great deal of interest and the crowds were gratifyingly large. Over 4,000 people visited the first Industry Night Regio Liestal. The 31 companies counted around 11,000 admissions, meaning that the public visited just under three companies on average. The demand from regional educational institutions and non-governmental organisations was also very pleasing. 500 school pupils visited the Industry Night free of charge as part of a class group, while over 100 members of NGOs attended the Industry Night in groups free of charge. The free offer for holders of a colourkey or KulturLegi card was also taken up in large numbers.

The Industry Night Regio Liestal is a project of the Industrienacht Basel association, with mgmt Ltd. responsible for project management and communication. The organising committee is now working flat out on the evaluation and is already in the middle of planning the next Industry Night in the region – the third Industry Night Regio Basel on Friday, 9 May 2025.
