The working worlds of the Industry Night Regio Basel 2025

48 companies will take us on a journey into their day-to-day work on 9 May 2025 from 5pm to midnight - into their production facilities, research labs, networks, and warehouses. We will take a look into the Internet engine room at Swisscom, experience the production of natural cosmetics at Weleda and the maintenance of SBB's fleet. This year's edition features a particularly wide range of industries. The Industry Night offers exclusive insights for young and old alike, from Basel harbour to Reinach. The programme will be released in mid-March.
Same company, second chance for you
Almost half of last year's companies are opening their doors for the broad audience again this year, including Endress+Hauser, Roche and Sutter Begg. Anyone who missed them back then will have another opportunity on 9 May 2025. These companies are also offering new programme items, for example IWB with insights into the power supply in our region. So it's well worth another visit!
New companies, new things to discover
Around 20 companies are new to the programme: at Agreta, you can find out how gas and water are routed through pipes under our soil. At Alfred Imhof, you can find out which drive technology the gondola uses to take you safely up to the ski resort. In Arlesheim, next to the Uptown area, the ‘Alti Papieri’ has recently been created as a space for trade, crafts, art and culture. Various companies provide an insight into their work on site: learn how a playground is built at KuKuk, more about pyrolysis heating at Pyronet and more about the world of cleaning, from building protection to AI-supported cleaning, at Richterich and PCT. Facility management is also the core business of Honegger in Münchenstein. You can find out how spaces are created and shape our lives on a tour at Blaser Architekten. At the software company Vanillaplan, meanwhile, everything revolves around digital construction.

Weleda, which develops and produces in Arlesheim, offer insights into the world of cosmetics. On the Dreispitz, we dive into different studios: at Radio X, you can follow a live programme on location, while at Oslo Studios you can immerse yourself in the daily routine of film and sound production. Not far away, you can make candles at Weizenkorn and find out more about the foundation's social work. At Theater Basel, you can experience what goes on in the workshop, away from the big stage. If you've ever wondered why the broom used by the city cleaning service has a kink in it, visit the association for the ancient craft of brush and broom making. And last but not least, you can find out what it takes to keep the trains running and the internet working at SBB and Swisscom.

Statements
"As the main sponsor, we are delighted to give people in our region exciting insights into the diverse economic landscape and at the same time offer our companies a stage for their achievements and innovations. Join us and immerse yourself in the different corporate worlds of our location for one night."
– Martin Dätwyler, Director of the Basel Chamber of Commerce
"More than 2,500 people visited Endress+Hauser at the last Industry Night. We came into contact with numerous individuals who we would otherwise not have had the opportunity to interact with. We were able to demonstrate how our work plays a role in people's everyday lives and highlight the opportunities we offer as an employer. This success motivates us to continue supporting the Industry Night as a sponsor in 2025 and to renew our involvement as a participating company with a wide range of activities for visitors."
– Luc Schultheiss, CFO der Endress+Hauser Gruppe
"The Industry Night offers a unique opportunity for parents, young people and all interested parties to experience the diversity and innovative strength of our industry up close. I find it particularly exciting that many companies present their jobs and apprenticeships. Anyone wondering how modern and forward-looking industrial companies are today should not miss this night!"
– Mustafa Atici, Government Council Canton of Basel-Stadt
