Where there were once meadows, there is now a thriving life sciences cluster with a global reach. This chapter began in 1977, when Bachem – then just six years old and with a staff of eight – moved there. The company specialises in plant and pipework construction and manufactures, amongst other things, chemical and pharmaceutical plants.
